CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Metro’s regular summer service changes will go into effect on June 2. This will include minor running time adjustments on some routes to better serve our customers.

Girl Scout cookies coming to local stores starting on Friday

(FOX19) - Tri State girl scout troops are preparing to set up shop at your local grocery stores, retail businesses and banks.

Cookie booth sales begin on Friday, February 15.

Customers who buy five packages of cookies will receive a coupon and have the opportunity to enter a contest on our website to win five cases of Girl Scout cookies. The QR Code on the coupon will take customers to correct spot online. The contest ends Thursday, March 21.

(FOX19) - Every Busken Bakery, Remke-Biggs, and Cincinnati/Dayton United Dairy Farmers will be giving away one free Lite Hearted Donu on Valentine's Day  to every customer while supplies last.

The Lite-Hearted Donu is a heart-shaped glazed donut targeted to calorie-counting consumers. Each donut contains just 140 calories, 2.5 grams of fat, and zero trans fat and zero saturated fat.

“This year we're giving our hearts to the Queen City,” commented Busken Bakery president, Dan Busken. “As it turns out, our hearts are sweet, low calorie, and romantically guilt-free.” 

This will be the largest giveaway in the company’s history, as the combined forces of over 150 stores hands out thousands of free donuts to customers around the city.

The Lite-Hearted Donut™ will be available at all 10 Busken Bakery locations, 135 United Dairy Farmers, and 13 Remke-Bigg’s.

The Salvation Army in Greater Cincinnati Receives donation from Western & Southern Financial Group

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Salvation Army announced on Wednesday that it received a check for more than $22,500 from Western & Southern Financial Group. The total amount includes $11,266.70 from donations received this season at the Crib of the Nativity display at Eden Park’s Krohn Conservatory and an equal match from Western & Southern.

The 2012 donations increased by more than 50 percent compared to 2011. Since 1939, Western & Southern has sponsored the nativity display and for many years has matched the gifts donated by those visiting the display. Since 1994, donations from visitors to the Christmas display and Western & Southern’s match have resulted in approximately $200,000 donated to The Salvation Army.

Sen. Portman talks economy, jobs at Humvee design unveiling

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19)-

Ohio Sen. Rob Portman visited Cincinnati today to meet with Jet Machine and Manufacturing workers and help unveil potentially groundbreaking Humvee technology.

Sen. Portman was at Jet Machine to address concerns of workers and discuss ways to grow the economy and create jobs.

Jet Machine also unveiled the HMMWV-SBC, which promises to protect Humvees and other military vehicles from roadside bombs. The "SBC," or Structural Blast Chimney, can vent explosive energy up through a blast channel in the center of the vehicle.

Man arrested after leading police on a high speed chase in Blue Ash

BLUE ASH, OH (FOX19)-

Blue Ash police took into man custody on Thursday who lead them on a high speed chase then remained on the lamb for nearly 14 hours.

A car belonging to 63-year old Gregory James Martin of Lexington was located at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Blue Ash around 6:30pm. A hotel employee spotted his red Mercury Cougar in the hotel parking lot. This vehicle had been identified earlier that day by local media outlets.

Martin led Springdale and Evendale police on a high speed chase nearly 14 hours earlier on Reed Hartman Highway. The pursuit was terminated for safety reasons.

Officers finally located and arrested Martin on a warrant without incident. He had been a guest of the hotel for about three days.

He was released to the Springdale Police Department.
