(FOX19) - In honor of National Chocolate Mint Day, Skyline Chili diners will receive a minty treat with their menu purchase on Tuesday.

Dine-in customers will get a free York Peppermint Patty on Tuesday, February 19 with any meal.

“Our customers tell us one of the delights of the Skyline Chili experience is tradition,” said Sarah Sicking, director of marketing for Skyline Chili. “Some of these include making cracker bombs before the meal, wearing their special Skyline bib, talking with their favorite server and getting their York Peppermint Patty to end the meal. We want to honor our customers and their Skyline dining traditions by celebrating National Chocolate Mint Day with our Skyline Chili family.”

(FOX19) - Every Busken Bakery, Remke-Biggs, and Cincinnati/Dayton United Dairy Farmers will be giving away one free Lite Hearted Donu on Valentine's Day  to every customer while supplies last.

The Lite-Hearted Donu is a heart-shaped glazed donut targeted to calorie-counting consumers. Each donut contains just 140 calories, 2.5 grams of fat, and zero trans fat and zero saturated fat.

“This year we're giving our hearts to the Queen City,” commented Busken Bakery president, Dan Busken. “As it turns out, our hearts are sweet, low calorie, and romantically guilt-free.” 

This will be the largest giveaway in the company’s history, as the combined forces of over 150 stores hands out thousands of free donuts to customers around the city.

The Lite-Hearted Donut™ will be available at all 10 Busken Bakery locations, 135 United Dairy Farmers, and 13 Remke-Bigg’s.

OAKLEY, OH (FOX19) - For the eighth consecutive year, IHOP restaurants nationwide will offer each guest a free short stack of its famous buttermilk pancakes on National Pancake Day in an effort to raise awareness and funds for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and other local charities.

For every short stack of buttermilk pancakes served on National Pancake Day, IHOP guests are invited to make a voluntary donation to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Donations made at IHOPs in the Cincinnati area will benefit the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals' program at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

IHOP hopes to raise $3 million this year, with a goal to bring the total amount of funds raised to more than $13 million.

Meatless Greek Pasta Bowl returns to Skyline Chili

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) – Skyline Chili wants to offer customers an alternative to the traditional Coneys and Ways while celebrating Lent. The Greek Pasta Bowl is a meatless pasta dish served hot with kalamata olives, tomatoes, pepperocinis, feta cheese and Greek dressing.

 “We took what everyone loves about the signature Skyline Chili Greek salad and created a special dish for the Lenten season,” said Sarah Sicking, director of marketing for Skyline Chili. “The Greek Pasta Bowl was very well received last year and is a great option for those who eat meatless meals between Ash Wednesday and Easter.”

The Greek Pasta Bowl is available from February 4 to March 31 at Skyline Chili locations in Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Dayton and Columbus. The dish is available in small and regular sizes.

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Today was the first "fish-fry" Friday of the Lenten season. Many people give up eating red meat on Fridays and instead eat only fish or no meat at all.

Lent is a 40 day span of reflection and sacrifice for Christians around the world as we move toward Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

One of the most popular places to find fish sandwiches during Lent is McDonald's. Did you know that a piece of pop-culture history was invented right here in Cincinnati?

We got to the bottom of this fish tale. Reporter Stefano DiPietrantonio had a little divine help Friday morning.
